Afrobeats sensation Davido has looked back on his humble beginnings, sharing a funny memory involving music heavyweights Don Jazzy and D’Banj.
In a viral video making the rounds on Tuesday, the Grammy-nominated singer reminisced about the early days of his music journey between 2007 and 2009. According to him, he once freestyled for the Mo’Hits stars at his father’s house in Atlanta — only to be sent out on a food run afterward.

“In Atlanta, 2007 or 2008 or 2009… In my father’s house, I was freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj. He sent me to go and buy McDonald’s with my papa car, Rolls Royce,” Davido said.
The clip has since gone viral, drawing praise and admiration from fans who celebrated his journey from those early moments to international stardom.
