Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha has announced the death of her father, Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka, in an emotional tribute shared on social media.
The actress disclosed the loss on Instagram on Friday, October 2, alongside photographs of her late father.
Reflecting on the passing, Chioma said she had lost her mother 13 years ago and was now coming to terms with the death of her father, leaving her without either parent.
“My beloved father, Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka, has gone to be with the Lord.
“I lost my mother 13 years ago and now that my father is gone, the thought that I have neither parent here anymore breaks my heart in a way I cannot fully explain. So na only me bayi?” she wrote.
Prompt News reports Chioma described her late father with affectionate names, calling him her “daddy, papa’m, obara’m” and “my comfort”.
She expressed gratitude for the years they shared and noted that her father lived long enough to witness his children and grandchildren.
“We had hoped you would meet your great-grandchildren too, mana nya diba!” she added.
The actress also reflected on the pain that comes with losing a parent, regardless of how many years they lived.
