Nigeria’s Falconets secured their place in the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after an emphatic 10-1 victory over New Caledonia in their final Group F match.
Moses Aduku’s side finished second in the group with four points from three matches, behind Spain, who topped the standings with nine points from the same number of games.
Ramotalahi Kareem and Onajite David were the stars of the show, with both players scoring hat-tricks in the comprehensive victory.
Rebecca Adegbemile also got on the scoresheet twice, while Janet Seimeyeha Akekoromowei and Tosin Rafiu added a goal each to complete the rout.
New Caledonia’s only goal came through Joceline Kourevi.
The result was enough to send the Falconets into the knockout stage as they continue their quest for a strong finish at the tournament.
