Nollywood actress and filmmaker Yetunde Barnabas has spoken out against what she described as persistent bullying, attacks on her career and efforts to damage her reputation.
The actress expressed her frustration in an Instagram post, saying she had remained silent for a long time but had reached a point where she could no longer ignore the alleged attacks against her.
Barnabas said she had worked hard, made sacrifices and built her career over several years, adding that she would not allow anyone to destroy what she had achieved.
“Enough is enough! I have stayed quiet for long enough, but I can no longer sit back and watch you people bully me, deliberately tarnish my name, attack my career and constantly discredit the work I have sacrificed so much to build. I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am today. I have faced challenges, made sacrifices, and built my career from the ground up. I will not allow anyone to destroy what I have worked years to build.”
The filmmaker also directly addressed an Instagram user identified as @ajefunke_kofoshi, demanding that a post she described as hateful be removed.
Prompt News reports Barnabas maintained that she had done nothing wrong by pursuing filmmaking, developing her career and investing in her own productions.
“@ajefunke_kofoshi I am publicly asking you to take down the hateful post you made about me. I have committed no crime by being a filmmaker, by building my career, or by investing in my own projects. I produced OJISE with a N30 million budget, and I am proud of the work that went into it. I will not sit quietly while anyone deliberately tries to rubbish my name or discredit my work,” she said.

She further alleged that a group had been created specifically to target her and attack her projects.
According to the actress, she had been informed that some individuals wanted her out of the entertainment industry. She said she was unsure who was behind the alleged group but linked the hostility to her involvement in the early monetisation of YouTube.
“What concerns me even more is discovering that there is allegedly a hate group created specifically to constantly attack me and tarnish every project I put out. I don’t know who is behind it, but I have been told that there are people saying they want me out of this industry. Maybe because I am part of the first set that monetised YouTube, but this is too much. I am stepping in with the authorities from this point henceforth,” she added.
Barnabas insisted that she was not involved in any criminal activity and described herself as a filmmaker, producer and businesswoman who had earned her achievements through hard work.
She also vowed to take steps to protect her reputation, career and projects against what she considers deliberate attempts to undermine her.
“I am not a thief, I am not a criminal, I am a filmmaker, a producer, a businesswoman, and a woman who has worked incredibly hard for everything she has today. I will not apologise for my success. From this point forward, I will protect my name, my career, my work, and everything I have built. Enough is enough.”
