Nigerian music heavyweights Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage have officially made peace, ending a feud that had lasted for seven years.
Their disagreement began on social media after Yemi Alade subtly called out female entertainers who she claimed enhanced their buttocks in photos to “deceive their fans.” Her post emerged shortly after Tiwa Savage uploaded pictures showing off her curves.
Tiwa, interpreting the comment as a jab, swiftly responded with a warning: “Don’t start a war you can’t finish.”

Prompt News reports the long-standing tension was finally resolved on Thursday in Lagos during The Price of Being Her panel hosted by Entertainment Week Africa. A viral video from the event captured the moment Yemi Alade addressed Tiwa Savage directly with heartfelt words of admiration.
She told Tiwa, “I honestly want you to know that those moments you get rugged and do what you truly want to do, you are standing up for many females. Just continue being you. You are literally walking in strength.”
The tribute left Tiwa visibly emotional. In another clip taken after the panel, the two stars were seen singing together and sharing a warm embrace, confirming that the once-public rivalry had finally come to an end.
