Super Falcons players exhibited solidarity and camaraderie by visiting injured Banyana Banyana player Gabriela Salgado at the hospital on Wednesday, Prompt News reports.
Salgado sustained a serious leg injury in the closing stages of South Africa’s 2-1 semi-final victory over Nigeria on Tuesday night.
The midfielder underwent surgery at the Mohamed V1 Hospital, in Casablanca on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the year.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, alongside four of her teammates visited her at the hospital.
The other players are Ifeoma Onumonu, Ashleigh Plumptre, Michelle Alozie, and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
They presented her with a signed Super Falcon jersey.
