Ruggedman made his acting debut in Jim Iyke’s Bad Comments, later appeared as a police officer in Toyin Abraham’s Ghost and the Tout Too, and most recently played the character “Superglue” in Nora Awolowo’s crime thriller Red Circle.
Reflecting on his experience on the Red Circle set, he said, “One lesson from the movie is that there are consequences to all actions, no matter who you are or your position in society.”
He admitted that performing alongside notable stars such as Bukky Wright, Lateef Adedimeji, and Femi Branch initially felt intimidating. “The only challenge I had was being surrounded by highly talented actors. I just didn’t want to mess up. Thankfully, nobody complained about me. The Rixel Studios team also made the entire experience smooth,” he noted.
Looking ahead, Ruggedman revealed that he has completed writing a movie script and is eager to produce his first feature. “I’m ready to do more acting as long as the story is good. I’ve even sent the word out that there’s a new actor in town. I also have my own script and plan to produce something big soon,” he added.
While carving out a new path in Nollywood, the rapper remains grounded in his musical roots, continuing to be recognised for his impactful, socially conscious songs.
