Controversial street-pop singer Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has commented on the ongoing issue involving music sensation Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje.
The controversy began when Egbueje alleged that Burna Boy had promised her a Lamborghini following a personal encounter.
This claim has ignited a flurry of reactions on social media, with numerous Nigerians voicing their perspectives on the situation.
In a recent video, Portable expressed his disapproval of Sophia’s request for a luxury vehicle, suggesting that her priorities should be focused on acquiring clothing instead.
He humorously proposed purchasing fabric for her to have a custom outfit made, rather than anticipating an extravagant gift.
The Zazu artist also questioned her understanding of the price of a Lamborghini, joking that if he were to buy one for her, she might abscond with it.
Additionally, Portable insinuated that Sophia’s father had never gifted her mother a car, suggesting that this background may have shaped her expectations regarding luxury items.
The situation has elicited varied responses from prominent individuals. Speed Darlington took the opportunity to criticize Burna Boy, asserting that the artist had not adequately supported his close friends, making it improbable that he would invest millions in a car for a woman.
Conversely, social media influencer Saida BOJ defended Sophia Egbueje, admonishing women who mocked her and implying that some of them were not dissimilar to her.
Portable’s comments have sparked discussions online, with fans expressing a range of opinions.
While some found his remarks entertaining, others criticized him for intervening in the ongoing controversy.
