The Police command in Nasarawa State says it has arrested 10 suspected internet fraudsters in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by DSP Ramhan Nansel, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state , on Thursday in Lafia.
Nansel said operatives acted after the command got intelligence about the influx of internet fruadsters into Keffi Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
“Acting on the credible information, our men attached to Angwan Lambu Division of Keffi raided the hideout of the cyber criminals at GRA Keffi.
“During the operation on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024 at about 9:00 p.m. 10 suspects were arrested,” Nansel said .
The PPRO further said that two laptops, 10 mobile phones of different brands, three Wifi routers were recovered from the suspects.
He listed the other recovered items as charms, black soap, hard drugs (loud weed and dried leaves suspected to be marijuana).

The PPRO said that the suspects had confessed to being into internet fraud popularly known as “Yahoo Yahoo.”
He further said that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigation (NAN)
