Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been ruled out of Nigeria’s international friendly against Al-Nashama of Jordan due to injury, Prompt News reports.
Okoye sustained the injury in training on Sunday.
The 26-year-old will now return to Italy to continue treatment on the injury with Udinese.
The severity of the injury is expected to be determined by the Serie A club.
Head coach Éric Chelle will choose between Francis Uzoho and Adebayo Adeleye as Okoye’s replacement for the clash against Jordan.
The Super Eagles will slug it out with Jordan at the Corendon Airlines Park on Tuesday.
The three-time African champions beat Iran 2-1 in their first friendly at the same ground last week Friday.
