Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has earned a spot in the Serie A Team of the Week, Prompt News reports.
Okoye made the selection on the back of his impressive performance in the Zebras’s 1-0 home loss to Juventus last Saturday.
The Nigeria international, who made the selection for the first time this season was outstanding in the game, making a number of vital saves.
Ivory Coast international Jeremie Boga beat him once to help Juventus secure maximum points in the game
The 26-year-old however twice denied Boga as well as Manuel Locatelli, Kenan Yildiz, and Fabio Miretti.
Okoye has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Italian top-flight since his arrival at Udinese in 2023.
The 26-year-old has made 21 league appearances for Kosta Runjaic’s side this season.
