Esther Okoronkwo has won Super Falcons’ Fans Player of the Tournament at the recently concluded 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News reports.
The versatile forward was nominated alongside five of her teammates; captain Rasheedat Ajibade, who was named Player of the Tournament by the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Jennifer Echegini, Ashleigh Plumptre, Chiwendu Ihezuo, and Folashade Ijamilusi.
Okoronkwo scored the highest number of votes in a poll conducted on the Super Falcons’ X account.
The 27-year-old was instrumental to Nigeria’s triumph at the WAFCON 2024 finals.
The AFC Toronto star registered two goals, and six assists in six appearances during the competition.
She was also included in CAF’s Best X1 or the competition.
