The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed 12 establishments across parts of the state for alleged persistent breaches of environmental regulations.
The enforcement exercise, carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, affected businesses and facilities in Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
LASEPA disclosed the development in a statement issued on Wednesday, saying the affected establishments had allegedly ignored repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities provided to enable them to comply with the agency’s directives.
Among the facilities sealed was Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba, which was shut over alleged noise pollution and failure to comply with LASEPA’s directives.
Other affected establishments included Feixiang Plastic on LASU-Ojo Road; Marvel Hotel & Suites at Chrisbee Crescent, Igando; Keviz Hotel & Suites on Councilor Ajayi Street, Obadore; and DSN Hotel & Suites on Benson Onyeacholen Street.
LASEPA also sealed Rudaj Vegetable Oil on Tanimowo Street, Igando; the Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish, on Adetola Buhari Street, Ikotun; Limas on Aro-Oloye Street, Abaranje; and Nico Hotel & Suites at Ayawo Close, Ejigbo.
Kobo Night Club on Abanishe Street, Agodo-Egbe, Master Furniture on Coleman Street, Idimu-Ikota Road, and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge on Governor’s Road, Ikotun, were also affected by the enforcement.
The agency said the establishments were sealed for various violations, including noise pollution, non-compliance with its directives and, in the case of Keviz Hotel & Suites, alleged obstruction of duty.
Speaking on the operation, LASEPA General Manager, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment.
Ajayi urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents to adopt environmentally responsible practices, obtain the necessary permits and approvals, and comply with applicable environmental regulations.
