Fulham are hesitant to meet the €24 million asking price for Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze, Prompt News reports.
Chukwueze joined the Premier League side on loan from AC Milan last summer and has since impressed at Craven Cottage, prompting interest in a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old has contributed three goals and four assists in 20 league appearances under manager Marco Silva.
Despite his impact, Fulham are reportedly unwilling to trigger the €24 million purchase option included in the agreement.
“Samuel Chukwueze has become a fan favourite, with many supporters eager to see him remain in London,” Milan Press stated. “However, the club believes the buyout clause is too high, which is complicating negotiations.”
AC Milan, meanwhile, are open to selling the former Villarreal winger as they aim to revamp their squad ahead of next season.
