EPL: Chelsea hold Liverpool to end six-game losing streak

Chelsea ended their six-game losing streak in the Premier League after holding Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Liverpool made the perfect start with Ryan Gravenberch curling the ball into the net from distance after four minutes.

Chelsea however took the initiative afterwards passing the ball around with confidence.

Enzo Fernandez equalised for the Blues from a free kick in the 35th minute.

Cole Palmer had a goal ruled out for the visitors four minutes after the break.

Liverpool also had a header from Curtis Jones ruled out at the other end.

Liverpool did then hit the frame of the goal twice through Dominik Szoboszlai and Virgil van Dijk but couldn’t find a winner.

The draw sees Arne Slot’s side stay fourth as they edge closer to Champions League qualification.

Chelsea remain ninth with lots of work still to do to qualify for any European competition through their Premier League position.
