Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has given an update on the controversy involving her and the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, revealing that discussions aimed at resolving the matter are currently underway.
The actress was reportedly arrested by the Lagos State Police on Saturday following allegations she made against the cleric over an unfulfilled marriage promise.
She regained her freedom on Monday after spending two nights in custody, during which, she claimed, Pastor Okafor appealed for an amicable settlement.
Speaking on the situation, Doris disclosed that negotiations are ongoing and that she has remained in Lagos to see how the discussions unfold.
“Talks is going on now, resolution is ongoing at the moment. I’m still in Lagos, I’m not back in Abuja. I want to know where it’s heading, and I want to know the end of this table talk,” she said.

She added that she intends to seek divine guidance before taking any further steps.
“I will come back, and I will seek God’s face. I will ask God the next direction, what should I do because at the moment, I don’t know what to do. I will ask for his wisdom, what should I do, because I have a lot to say, I have a lot I want to reveal, I have a lot I want the world to learn from this,” she stated.
The actress also stressed that she does not want the matter to escalate or result in harm, even as she insisted she has much more to disclose.
“At the same time, I don’t want to have anyone’s blood on my hand. This is still bad than anyone thinks. I haven’t said anything. What I just said online is nothing to what I’m about to say before my arrest,” she said.
Prompt News reports despite the tension surrounding the issue, Doris maintained that she is not intimidated by threats or possible detention.
“But I will leave everything to God and pray and seek his direction to let him direct me on how best to go about it. I’m not afraid of anyone, I’m not afraid of going to jail. All I want is to speak my truth, and my truth I will speak,” she added.
