Nigerian streamer and content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has revealed plans to feature Nobel Prize-winning writer Professor Wole Soyinka on his livestream.
Peller announced the proposed collaboration during a livestream on Tuesday, telling his audience to expect a session centred on formal English and what he humorously described as “grammar”.
He said more information about the planned broadcast would be shared later.
“I want to do a stream with Mr. Wole Soyinka. I will announce it soon and tell you guys what the plan is. It will be a proper English day on that day. You will hear some ‘grammar’ that day,” he said.
The announcement has attracted interest because of the difference between Peller’s lively, informal approach to online content and Soyinka’s standing as one of Africa’s most celebrated literary figures.
Prompt News reports Peller has gained a substantial online following through livestreams featuring unscripted discussions, comedy and interactions with celebrities and fellow content creators.
Soyinka, a Nigerian playwright, poet and novelist, made history in 1986 when he became the first African to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature.
The proposed meeting would bring together two personalities known for very different styles of communication, potentially giving Peller’s audience an opportunity to see a different side of his usual livestream content.

It also remains unclear whether Soyinka has accepted the invitation or confirmed his participation in the planned livestream.
