Nigerian music star Davido has expressed profound concern following two recent tragedies that have left the nation in shock—the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State and a deadly attack on a church in Kwara State.
Reports indicate that three people were killed during a service at a Christ Apostolic Church branch in Kwara on Tuesday evening, with the pastor and several congregants also abducted.
This incident occurred just a day after 25 schoolgirls were kidnapped in Kebbi State on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Speaking out on X on Wednesday, Davido conveyed his sorrow for the families affected by these violent acts. “No family deserves this pain,” he lamented.
The singer warned against normalizing such tragedies, emphasizing the importance of collective action to ensure safety. “These acts of violence must never become our norm,” he said.

Addressing the kidnapped girls and their families, Davido shared a heartfelt message: “My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi and their families. No family deserves this pain.” He added that unity among Nigerians is crucial for building a safer nation: “As Nigerians, we must stand together in unity and continue working towards a country where every child can grow up in safety and hope.”
Prompt News reports on the Kwara church attack, Davido expressed deep grief, describing the event as devastating. “I am deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident,” he wrote.
The award-winning singer also called for urgent action to ensure the safe return of the abducted girls, urging anyone with credible information to assist authorities responsibly.
Davido concluded his statement with a prayer: “May God comfort the grieving families in Kwara, bring peace to our nation, and put every sponsor of violence and disorder to shame.”
