Nollywood actress and former BBNaija housemate, Beverly Osu, has faced criticism on social media after sharing photographs from her birthday celebration.
The actress, who marked her birthday on Sunday, posted pictures of herself dressed in an open blazer that exposed her cleavage while holding a rosary.
In the accompanying message, Osu expressed gratitude to God and reflected on her personal growth, faith and experiences over the past year.
Prompt News reports she said some of life’s biggest blessings do not always come through dramatic events, adding that her faith reminds her that she is not alone.
“God is still writing.
His grace, His love is sufficient.
This year, He gave me much to celebrate. Beautiful work, beautiful moments, and a few numbers at the box office that I’m deeply grateful for. But above all, I’m grateful for the woman I’m becoming.
I’ve learned that sometimes the greatest miracles don’t arrive with thunder. Sometimes they look like quiet strength, soft prayers, and the grace to keep walking.
I carry my faith with me, not as a symbol of having it all figured out, but as a reminder that I’m never walking alone.
May God bless this chapter, guide my heart, keep me grounded, and give me the strength to become everything I’m meant to be.

However, some social media users criticised the decision to feature the rosary prominently in the photographs alongside her outfit.
One user, j_jada15, wrote, “Nobody should disrespect my Catholic faith and disrespect my holy rosary or disrespect my religion. Christianity shall never be mocked; keep the Sabbath day holy.”
Another commenter, yemi_yemi, wrote, “Solomon Buchi setting his ring light as we speak.”
Bennycharles_apparel wrote, “First she wore a dress like a nun, holding a chaplet and smoking years ago.”
Another user, shatellmusa, wrote, “You could’ve snapped your picture without the rosary. This is disrespectful to Christianity, holding a rosary all in the name of a birthday celebration.”
However, not all reactions were critical, as siscojonte simply commented, “God is the greatest.”
