A viral video circulating online shows a man, Mr Fatai Odunsin, who identifies himself as the father of popular Afrobeats singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, pleading for help and accusing the artist of abandoning him.
“I am Asake’s father. I gave birth to him. I gave birth to Asake, Ahmed, the singer. Babatunde Ololade Odunsin Mr Money.
“Since I had stroke I haven’t seen him. The last time I saw him was March 29, 2022. He doesn’t pick my calls when I call him. Please I only need your help,” Mr. Fatai Odunsin stated.

Prompt News reports that Asake has risen to fame in the Afrobeats scene and is widely known to have been raised by a single mother.
He rarely speaks about his father in interviews and has yet to respond to the viral video as of the time this report was filed.
