Veteran Nollywood actor Kola Oyewo has shared how declining health has affected his ability to fully participate in acting, revealing that he can no longer take on certain roles.
In a conversation with Kunle Afod, the seasoned actor recalled how he used to move freely on set and deliver his roles with full energy. However, he said illness has since slowed him down, making it difficult to perform as he once did.
Oyewo explained that after undergoing surgery, his physical strength reduced significantly, a situation he said has been worsened by age. Despite this, he remains grateful, acknowledging that while some people stay strong into old age, others face health challenges.
He also narrated how he was referred to a hospital in Akure during his treatment but chose to return home after becoming unsure about who would care for him there. He later sought help from his personal doctor, who began treating him.
Prompt News reports the actor revealed that his condition started with frequent urination, which disrupted his sleep and daily life. He added that the situation sometimes caused him to lose control before reaching the restroom.
