Team Nigeria will continue its pursuit of medals at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with a packed schedule of athletics and boxing events on Tuesday night.
Sprint trio Kanyinsola Ajayi, Favour Ashe and Nicholas Fakorede will be aiming to secure places in the men’s 100m final when they compete in the semi-finals.
In the women’s 100m, Rosemary Chukwuma, Miracle Ezechukwu and Blessing Ogundiran will also be in action as they bid to book their spots in the final.
Field event specialist Oyesade Olatoye will target a podium finish in the women’s hammer throw final.
In the boxing ring, Patricia Mbata will fight for a place in the women’s 75kg semi-finals when she takes on her opponent in the quarter-finals.
Team Nigeria has made an impressive start to the Glasgow 2026 Games, collecting 10 medals so far—six gold and four silver—as it looks to build on its strong showing.
