As Matchday Two of the long but exciting journey for 48 African nations to book their tickets for the finals of the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) billed for Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda have start today, four matches will be on the card, Prompt News reports.
Equatorial Guinea playing its home matches for the 2027 AFCON qualification in Cameroon will host Sierra Leone at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde by 4 pm local time while
Zimbabwe will host DR Congo at the National Sports Stadium in Harare, following recent renovations that allowed them to return to home soil.
Also, the Central African Republic and Burkina Faso match today will take place at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca, Morocco due to lack of CAF-approved international stadiums within the Central African Republic.
The last match of today’s fixtures between Tunisia and Botswana will be played at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi (Hammadi Agrebi Stadium) in Radès, Tunisia by 7 pm local time.
But tomorrow, no fewer than 17 matches including Guinea-Bissau versus Nigeria in Group L will hold across Africa with the Super Eagles aiming for the three vital points when the clash with their hosts at the Estádio 24 de Setembro in Bissau.
