Madagascar head coach Corentin Martins has unveiled a 25-man squad for the Barea’s opening two fixtures in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Martins trimmed his selection from an initial 55-man provisional squad, with foreign-based players making up the majority of the final list. A handful of players from the Malagasy domestic league have also been included.
The Barea will kick off their qualifying campaign against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a Matchday One clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, September 25.
Madagascar will then return home to host Tanzania’s Taifa Stars four days later in their second qualifying fixture.
The squad is expected to assemble this weekend as Martins begins preparations for the two crucial encounters
