Falconets duo Christiana Uzoma and Ramotalahi Kareem are in high spirits as Nigeria prepare to face England’s Young Lionesses in the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Prompt News Online reports.
Moses Aduku’s side will battle England for a place in the quarter-finals at the Bielsko-Biala Stadium on Thursday.
Captain Uzoma said the team is fully prepared for the crucial encounter and remains confident of securing victory.
“The mood in camp is very good. We have a winning mentality. We are not scared of England; we are fully prepared for them, and Nigerians should expect victory,” Uzoma told the team’s media.
Kareem was instrumental in Nigeria’s emphatic 10-1 victory over New Caledonia, a result that secured the Falconets’ place in the knockout stage.
The youngster urged Nigerian supporters to continue backing the team, promising that the players would give their best on the pitch.
“Please come and support us and pray for us. We promise you that we won’t disappoint. We will win,” Kareem said.
