Nigeria’s Falconets will face England in a Round of 16 fixture of the ongoing 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Prompt News Online reports.
Moses Aduku’s side booked a place in the knockout round following a comprehensive 10-1 victory over New Caledonia on Sunday.
The Falconets finished second in Group F behind Spain’s La Rojita.
Nigeria garnered four points from three games, while Spain top the standings with nine points.
England also finished second in Group B with four points behind Brazil.
The Europeans edged through ahead of Canada on account of having a superior team conduct score.
Nigeria and England will do battle in Bielsko-Biala on Thursday, 17 September.
The Round of 16 will start with Brazil taking on USA in Katowice on Wednesday, while Argentina and Korea Republic will also do battle at the Arena Sosnowiec on same day.
Two other Round of 16 matches; Spain versus Portugal, as well as Italy against China PR are also scheduled for Wednesday.
On Thursday, France will be up against Canada, Poland will take on Colombia, while Asian rivals Korea and Japan will do battle at the Stadion Miejski LKS, Lodz.
