Turkish club Bursaspor have announced the signing of Kelechi Iheanacho on a three-year contract, Prompt News Online reports.
The Green Crocodiles announced the forward’s arrival on the social media on Friday, accompanied with a short video.
“Welcome to our family, Kelechi Iheanacho 💚🤍, Bursaspor wrote on X.
Iheanacho sealed a move to Bursaspor after failing to reach agreement with Celtic on a new contract.
The 29-year-old was on the books of the Hoops last season, helping the club win a domestic double.
The Nigeria international scored crucial goals against Dundee, Hibernian and Motherwell in the final Premiership games.
Iheanacho also scored in the Scottish Cup final victory over Dunfermline.
In total, the former Leicester City striker netted nine goals and one assist in 24 appearances across all competitions for Celtic.
Bursaspor gained promotion to the Trendyol 1. Lig, the second level of the Turkish football league system last season.
The club based in the city of Bursa have won the Turkish Super Lig once in the 2009/10 season. They have also won the Turkish Cup once.
