Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, widely known as Omah Lay, has alarmed fans by revealing that he is once again grappling with depression.
The Soso hitmaker took to Snapchat on Monday, sharing a series of candid posts in which he hinted that challenges with his record label and music contracts have taken a toll on his mental well-being.
In his posts, Omah Lay expressed frustration toward both his management and his younger self for agreeing to certain deals.
He wrote: “Fk contacts. Fk labels. Fk the music business. Fk my younger self. F**k my manager. God please, I’m losing my mind again.”

This disclosure comes only weeks after he parted ways with his manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi. While Awoniyi claimed in a social media statement that the split was amicable, Omah Lay’s label mate, Kaestyle, maintained that the singer had actually been dismissed.
Omah Lay has been open about his struggles with depression in the past, particularly around the release of his debut album, Boy Alone, in July 2022, when he first spoke publicly about the mental health challenges he faced.
Fans have since expressed concern and sent messages of support, highlighting the ongoing importance of discussing mental health in the music industry.
