The Flamingos of Nigeria claimed the Fair Play award at the recently concluded FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, Prompt News reports.
Bankole Olowookere’s side were recognised as the best behaved team in the Dominican Republic.
The Flamingos picked up the least number of bookings at the competition.
The Nigerian girls crashed out in the quarter-final stage of the tournament.
They lost 2-0 to the United States of America in a keenly contested game.
North Korea claimed the title after beating Spain 4-3 on penalties in the final.
