‘The Baba Experience’ adds to 2Baba’s long-running career, which has spanned more than two decades and established him as one of Nigeria’s most influential music stars.
The singer, formerly known as 2Face Idibia, rose to prominence as a member of Plantashun Boiz before launching a successful solo career.
His extensive catalogue includes the 2004 hit ‘African Queen’, which became one of his most internationally recognised songs and helped expand his audience beyond Nigeria.
The forthcoming UK and Ireland shows also reflect the growing demand for Nigerian music among international audiences, particularly in cities with significant Nigerian and African communities.
‘The Baba Experience’ will begin in London on August 21 and conclude in Dublin on September 11, covering eight cities across the two countries.
