The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has appealed to the public to help identify the family of a 12 year old boy from Benue State who was found in Gombe State after reportedly going missing.
The boy, identified as Reuben Mtagher, is from Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
He was discovered in Amada, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, and has since been placed under the care of the NSCDC.
According to the agency, the child was found alive and in good health. Officials disclosed that he communicates only in the Tiv language, a factor that has made efforts to trace his relatives more challenging.
The NSCDC also revealed that Reuben has three brothers named Suur, Mnguember and Mmen, expressing hope that the information would assist in locating his family.
The boy is currently being sheltered at the NSCDC Gombe State Command Headquarters pending his reunion with his relatives.

The command called on the child’s parents, guardians or any member of the public with useful information about his identity or family to visit its headquarters in Gombe for proper identification and arrangements for his safe return home.
