Producer-turned-singer Young Jonn has turned down rapper Blaqbonez’s attempt to team up with him after revisiting an old social media post in which the rapper appeared to favour producer DJ Coublon over him.
The exchange began after Young Jonn shared a post expressing his desire to have a group of five close friends who would move together.
Young Jonn wrote, “I need like 5 bad friends way we go dey move in bulk!”
Prompt News reports Blaqbonez responded by showing interest in joining the proposed group and collaborating with the singer.
“Oya, make we dey together, sing as one,” the rapper replied.
However, Young Jonn appeared to recall a 2015 post from Blaqbonez in which the rapper compared him with DJ Coublon and stated that he preferred the latter.
Young Jonn responded to Blaqbonez’s recent request by sharing a screenshot of the old tweet.
“Go sing as one with Coublon,” he replied.

Blaqbonez subsequently denied being responsible for the old post, explaining that it had been published by his social media handler at the time.
The exchange between the two music acts has since drawn attention from fans, with Young Jonn using the decade-old post as the reason for rejecting Blaqbonez’s proposed collaboration.
