Media personality Toke Makinwa has shared personal reflections on her life, revealing that she has no interest in going back to her 30s, which she described as the most challenging phase she has experienced.
Speaking during the latest episode of her podcast with former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha, Makinwa opened up about relationships, self-discovery and the lessons she has learned over the years.
Prompt News reports she disclosed that she spent her 20s committed to one man and believes she should have explored life more before settling into that relationship. Makinwa also said she is thankful she did not become a mother during her 30s.
“I don’t want to go back to my 30s; they were the worst years of my life. I spent my 20s with just one man, but I wish I had explored more because he gave me the experiences. I wasn’t innocent, and I’m glad I didn’t have a baby in my 30s.”
During the conversation, Makinwa also advised women against getting married too early, arguing that many are still trying to understand themselves in their 20s.

According to her, marrying before reaching that level of self-awareness can lead to regrets later in life.
“Women have no business getting married in their 20s. You don’t even know yourself yet. Those who did are regretting it now.”
