Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner Mercy Eke has shared her views on fame and wealth, saying she would choose financial independence over public attention any day.
In an interview with Odira Ndubuaku, the reality star explained that fame means little to her without money to back it up, adding that she would gladly step away from the spotlight if the offer is right.
“I only enjoy being famous occasionally. I would trade my fame for 2 billion dollars. Wettin dem dey carry fame do? Give me money and delete me from every social media platforms. I would give up my influence, everything for money,” she said.
Eke stressed that she sees fame as less valuable when it does not translate into financial stability, noting that she would not mind giving up her social media presence and living privately if she were financially secure.
She added that such wealth would allow her to live comfortably and take care of her family, including owning luxury assets such as a private island home.
