Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has shared insights into her marital life, revealing that her relationship does not feel like a typical marriage.
Speaking during an interview on the African A-List podcast, the actress described her husband, Kayode Salako, as a source of calm and support.
According to her, the level of freedom she enjoys in the relationship contributes to why she doesn’t feel restricted.
“I don’t feel like I’m married. My husband is the definition of peace for me. If I tell Kayode now that I will be going to Canada tonight and will spend up to a year there, he will say bye-bye. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t love me; he just feels like he shouldn’t cage me.
“So I don’t feel like I’m married. He is my very good friend and my greatest cheerleader. When we fight, you would think that the marriage is going to end, but give us two hours, and everything will be settled,” she said.
Her comments come amid past revelations about her husband’s personal life. Two years ago, Salako confirmed that he had taken another wife, identified as Oluwafunke Oyegoke-Salako, while still married to the actress.
