Golden Eaglets head coach Manu Garba says his team will improve on their performance when they face Burkina Faso, Prompt News reports.
The four-time world champions started their campaign at the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship with a 4-1 thumping of Benin Republic.
The Eaglets will confront Baby Stallions of Burkina Faso in their final group game in Yammosoukro on Saturday.
Both teams will be looking to finish top of Group B having garnered three points each.
Garba is optimistic his team will secure another win against their opponent.
“We will see a better Nigerian team as the tournament progresses,” Garba told reporters.
“This team was only assembled about a month ago and this was only their first international match.
“They gave a good account of themselves even though there were some lapses which we have to correct before the match against Burkina Faso.”
