The University of Lagos has refuted claims circulating online that students who paid their fees before the arrival of the NELFund loan are facing delays in receiving their reimbursements.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by Mrs. Adejoke Alaga-Ibraheem, who heads the institution’s Communication Unit, the refund process is ongoing and follows a strict verification and reconciliation procedure with NELFund.
She noted that the university has already received three installments of the loan, and reimbursements for students in the first two batches have been completed.
She added that work is underway to process the third batch, which arrived toward the end of April, with student payment records currently being reviewed.
Alaga-Ibraheem assured students that the university is committed to handling the refund process in line with established guidelines, emphasizing transparency and accountability.
She urged students to utilize the NELFund loan opportunity and to reach out to the help desk at the Student Affairs Division if they encounter any challenges or require support.
