Sophia Momodu, the mother of Nigerian singer Davido’s daughter, has once again become a topic of conversation online after a recent Instagram Live session.
During the livestream, the entrepreneur and media personality addressed the idea of expanding her family, revisiting the topic of having more children.
Her remarks, which many interpreted as a subtle dig at her ex-partner Davido, quickly began circulating on social media.
In the viral clip, Sophia stated that she sees no reason to rush into having another child, humorously noting that her daughter, Imade, “already has about 1,500 siblings around the world.”
She emphasized that she is content raising her child independently and isn’t in any hurry to grow her family.
Her comments triggered mixed reactions among fans. While some viewed her remarks as unnecessary provocation, especially since Davido has kept a low profile regarding their past relationship, others urged her to move on and respect his current marital status.
It’s worth noting that Sophia and Davido were previously entangled in a legal battle over the custody of their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
Their dispute, which included court proceedings and leaked private messages, once divided fans and stirred heated debates across social media platforms.
