A brief but awkward moment involving Nollywood icon Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has stirred conversations online after she declined a presenter’s request during the 46th Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner on Sunday.
The incident happened during a live coverage segment at the event, which also hosted the Daily Times Young Fashion Designer of the Year Award. In a video now making the rounds on social media, a young presenter approached the actress and attempted to kick off an interview by asking her to introduce herself.
“Alright, welcome to 2026 Miss Nigeria dinner. I am currently live with…?” he asked.
The question appeared to catch the actress off guard, prompting a sharp response as she questioned his professionalism.
“You are here with who? I should tell you my name? You are not ready,” she said.
Trying to recover, the presenter clarified that he already knew who she was and only wanted to properly frame the interview for viewers.
“I know you, Omotola Jalade, I just want fans to know who I am with,” he explained.
Despite the clarification, the actress maintained her stance, appearing uninterested in continuing the exchange.
