Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Leo Dasilva, has sounded the alarm over the increasing presence of counterfeit products in Nigerian markets, particularly in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
Sharing his concerns via social media, Leo decried the widespread sale of fake everyday essentials, noting that the trend has become not only disturbing but dangerous for consumers.

According to him, within the space of just one month, he unknowingly bought several fake items including medications, skincare products, and hygiene essentials.
“In one month, I have bought fake cod liver oil, fake Gestid, fake Sensodyne, fake Simple face wash, fake deodorant, etc.
NAFDAC need to raid all big supermarkets in Abuja,” he wrote.
He described the growing presence of these counterfeit goods as outrageous, especially as they include health-related products used daily by Nigerians.
“The amount of fake drugs, fake deodorants, fake toothpaste and fake skin care in Nigeria is ridiculous,” he added.
