Temitope Olamoru, 18, has been remanded for prosecution for allegedly assaulting a young girl with a razor blade in Lagos.
According to DAILY POST, Police Prosecutor SP Josephine Ikhayere stated that Olamoru caused severe wounds to Iremide Olawale, leaving deep cuts on her face, neck, and hand.
At the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court hearing, the defendant faced charges of attempted murder and inflicting grievous harm.
The prosecutor told the court that the incident took place on March 12 around 10:15 p.m. on Faiusi Street, Ajegunle, in Lagos’ Alakuko area.
“The defendant unlawfully attempted to murder Iremide Olawale by attacking her with a razor blade, causing grievous injuries,” Ikhayere stated.
Olamoru’s charges are based on Sections 230(b) and 245 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.
Magistrate Lateef Owolabi ruled that the defendant be remanded and set April 14 for the next court session.
