Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
His release was confirmed on Wednesday by activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore through a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Thanks to unrelenting efforts, @thatverydarkman has been released from unjust detention at the @officialEFCC.
He is with his ebullient lawyer, @adeyanjudeji,” Sowore wrote.
Prompt News reports that prominent Nigerians including leading opposition figures like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi, had condemned the arrest of VDM, calling for his unconditional release.
