DDG first gained popularity online after launching his YouTube channel in 2014, long before venturing fully into music.
Prompt News reports he officially kicked off his music career in 2016 and later scored a major breakthrough with his hit track Givenchy, released as part of his 2017 EP Take Me Serious.
At 28, the entertainer has successfully balanced both careers but eventually left Central Michigan University to concentrate on building his brand in the digital space, a move that paid off as his online influence continued to grow.
