Everton have jumped ahead of the queue in their bid to sign Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
Ndidi is expected to leave the King Power Stadium at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has just two months left on his contract with Leicester City.
A bidding war is expected for the Nigeria international at the end of the season with a number of clubs within and outside England already showing their interest.
Aware of the interest from other clubs, Everton have tabled a proposal before Ndidi.
