Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced a three-night concert residency at the National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos, this December.
The singer made the announcement on his verified Instagram page on Friday, unveiling a new concert series titled “Oriadè: The Residency”, scheduled to hold from December 17 to 19.
Sharing the news alongside videos of his performances and footage of Lagos and the National Theatre, Davido reflected on his 15-year journey in the music industry.
“LAGOS!!! We bringing it HOME! 15 years of madness and there’s nowhere I’d rather be.
“The world has shown us so much love,” he said in the Instagram post.
The residency will see Davido take the stage at the National Theatre on three consecutive nights, marking a major celebration of his career and connection with Lagos.
Prompt News reports Davido began gaining widespread recognition in 2011 following the release of his hit single “Dami Duro”. Over the years, he has established himself as one of the leading Nigerian artistes on the global music scene.
His catalogue features several successful songs, including “If,” “Fall,” and “Aye,” as well as collaborations with international artistes that have contributed to the global growth of Afrobeats.

The singer has also performed to large audiences across Africa, Europe and North America, building a career that has made him one of the most recognised Nigerian names in contemporary music.
“Oriadè: The Residency” will bring that 15-year musical journey back to Lagos, with Davido set to perform for three nights at one of the city’s major entertainment venues.
