Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Asake staged a special one-night-only performance of his hit album ‘M$NEY’ at the historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London on Sunday.
The intimate, invite-only concert was organised in collaboration with Spotify and hosted close friends, family members, and selected top listeners of the artist on the platform.
The event marked the first time Asake performed songs from ‘M$NEY’ live since its release in May.
Backed by a live orchestra, the singer performed tracks from the project as well as four unreleased songs. The show was recorded, with Spotify set to release a full concert film in the coming days.
Described as a reflection on wealth, gratitude, spirituality, and ambition, ‘M$NEY’ highlights Asake’s distinctive blend of Afrobeats and melodic creativity.
Since its release on May 1, the album has topped streaming charts in over 19 countries, including Nigeria, and reached No. 8 in the United States.

Prompt News reports Asake first gained widespread attention in 2020 with his breakout track ‘Lady’. He has since released three studio albums: Mr Money With The Vibes (2022), Work of Art (2023), and Lungu Boy (2024).
He remains one of Nigeria’s leading music exports, with multiple awards and nominations. At this year’s Grammy Awards, he was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category but lost to fellow Nigerian artist Tems.
