Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has voiced her frustration over the team’s preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News reports.
Originally scheduled for March, the tournament—set to be hosted by Morocco—was postponed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to July.
The Super Falcons featured in two recent friendlies against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses during the last international break in February and March.
They were also billed to take on Cape Verde in a double-header next week, but the fixtures were called off after Cape Verde withdrew, leaving the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) searching for a replacement opponent.
Ajibade has now questioned the lack of adequate preparation ahead of the competition.
“We are preparing for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and also pushing for World Cup qualification, so why aren’t we approaching this with the level of seriousness and intensity required? Abeg, wetin be all this one? For how long?” she wrote on Instagram.
