Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made an emotional appeal to Nigerians for financial assistance as she battles an undisclosed health challenge.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, the actress revealed that she has been hospitalised for the past three weeks and is currently enduring severe pain.
“My people, fans and family, I know you have not seen me in circulation for some time. I have been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help, don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me and I know God will always see me through,” Ms Nwosu said.
She disclosed that doctors had recommended three separate surgeries and appealed to the public to come to her aid.
“Because I am going through a lot in pain. I have three surgeries to go through with. Please, don’t let me die. If there is anything you want to do for me, please contact my management. Thank you and God bless. My sickness will never be anybody’s portion in Jesus name,” she added.
Although the actress did not reveal the exact nature of her illness, this is not the first time she has sought public support for medical treatment.

In 2012, Nwosu was diagnosed with kidney-related complications and a heart condition, prompting an appeal for financial assistance to enable her receive treatment abroad.
At the time, the then Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, donated ₦4.5 million towards her medical expenses, after which she travelled to the United Kingdom for treatment.
Prompt News reports the actress later expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government and Nigerians who contributed to her recovery during that period.
