Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has declared that the players are now focused on the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs, Prompt News reports.
Troost-Ekong and his teammates refused to train on Tuesday to protest the non payment of their outstanding bonuses and allowances.
The players however returned to training on Wednesday after the issue was resolved.
The centre-back in a post on X confirmed that the outstanding bonuses and allowances has been cleared.
“Issue RESOLVED. Outstanding financials cleared and on ground. Team is UNITED and focussed as before on representing NIGERIA with our maximum for the games ahead! 🇳🇬 @NGSuperEagles.”
The Super Eagles will take on the Panthers of Gabon in Rabat on Thursday.
