Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will know their group stage opponents at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Thursday.
Prompt News reports that the draw ceremony will hold in Santiago, Chile.
The Flying Eagles earned a place at the biennial competition after coming second at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side have been placed in Pot 1 with New Zealand, France, Ukraine, Argentina, and Mexico.
24 countries will slug it out at the U-20 World Cup finals.
The nations will be drawn into six groups of four teams.
Pot 1: Chile (hosts), Italy, USA, Korea Republic, Brazil, Colombia
Pot 2: New Zealand, France, Ukraine, Argentina, Nigeria, Mexico
Pot 3: Japan, Spain, South Africa, Australia, Panama, Norway
Pot 4: Saudi Arabia, Paraguay, Egypt, Cuba, Morocco, New Caledonia
